Spring 2007 UCSF SEM Program

The nonprofit organization, Building Diversity in Science (BDIS) is proud to present our statewide initiative called the Scientific Empowerment Movement (SEM). This comprehensive program draws urban youth to science, medicine, and technology careers by exposing the connections between the sports and entertainment industries and the sciences. The SEM program is currently active in the San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California Area and includes an outreach and recruitment component, research and training opportunities, and a mentoring/professional development component.
